Perched above the Pacific with panoramic coastal views, the Baker Residence is a sculptural composition of light and geometry. Architect Rick Clemenson designed the home to dissolve the boundary between interior and exterior — expansive glass walls frame the ocean horizon while maintaining a sense of privacy and repose. The façade’s monolithic planes, rendered in a crisp white palette, are softened by shadow, texture, and the surrounding landscape.
Inside, the open plan living spaces are flooded with natural light that shifts throughout the day, creating a quiet rhythm that animates the architecture. Subtle transitions in ceiling height and material contrast — stone, glass, and light maple flooring — define spaces without enclosure. The result is both minimalist and warm, reflecting a distinctly Californian approach to modern living: effortless, open, and deeply connected to its environment.
